This address will hold the wallet. It does not hold one yet.
There is nothing to unlock here and no wallet to create. This page exists so the address, its certificate and its security headers are real and checkable before anyone is asked to trust it with a key.
Why a separate address at all
A browser keeps stored data apart by address, and by nothing smaller.
While the wallet lives at nightfallcoin.org/wallet/ it
shares its storage and its script context with the download page, the
chain viewer and everything else on that address. One injected script
anywhere on the site could read the seed. Moving the wallet to an
address of its own ends that, because the separation is enforced by
the browser rather than by our code.
What that costs you
The same rule that keeps other scripts out keeps us out. This address
cannot read anything stored at nightfallcoin.org — not
even to help you move. A browser wallet does not travel here on its
own, and no button can change that.
So if you use the browser wallet today, do this now rather than later:
- Write your 24 recovery words down on paper and check them.
- Or export an encrypted backup file and keep it somewhere you will still have it.
- Do not clear your browser data before one of those two is done. Clearing it removes the seed, and nobody can recover it for you.
Until then
The wallet in use today stays exactly where it is, at nightfallcoin.org/wallet/. It is not being moved, redirected or switched off, and your stored seed stays reachable there. This page will become the new wallet only once that wallet has passed the release checks in the project's 1.0.0 plan — not before.
